I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure
I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure because I want to help end the devastation of dementia.
Alzheimer's Research UK is the UK's leading dementia research charity, dedicated to finding a cure.
Research is our only chance of stopping dementia in its tracks and offering hope to the many families affected.
Your donation will fuel cutting-edge research that could uncover new life-changing treatments, bringing us closer to a cure.
Thank you for your support.
So far, Helen has helped fund 8 hours of essential lab time for our amazing scientists.

My Updates
My Alzheimer’s story
Thursday 14th May My dad had dementia: mixed Alzheimer’s and vascular. His personality had changed long before his diagnosis, anlthough we suspected dementia, and he suffered a long and slow decline in his cognitive and physical health. He was supported with his daily living by mum and part time carers for a number of years before he finally needed full time nursing care. He died in September 2025 and so this walk is in his memory and for everyone else affected by Alzheimer’s. It’s not just the person with it who is affected, it affects everyone around them. The sooner we can find a cure, better treatment or even ways to prevent it, the better. ShareThank you to my Sponsors
