It was great to take part in the Walk For A Cure event and see so many people coming together determined to make their contribution to finding a cure for dementia. Participants included people living with a dementia, their carers and people, like me, remembering loved ones who had died with dementia. It was inspirational to see so many traveling many miles to raise money to fund such essential research.
- John Hirst, walking in memory of his beloved wife, Pat
- Barry Gray, who is living with dementia
- Jacky Schloss, walking in honour of her parents who have both been impacted by dementia.
- Dr Helen Beaumont, a dementia researcher, walking in memory of her husband, Clive
