Supporting families affected by dementia means being patient, understanding and kind while helping them adjust to changes.

Clear communication, involving the person in decisions, and offering practical and emotional support can make a big difference. 

It is also important to encourage carers to look after their own wellbeing and seek help when needed, as dementia impacts the whole family.
