Route
The 5km circular route will begin at the Parade Ground adjacent to the Palace of Holyrood House. From here, you head clockwise past St Margarets Loch and climb up past Dunspaie Loch. You'll continue a 360 degree circuit of the park, with views of Arthur's Seat, and panoramic views of the coastline, Edinburgh castle and the city itself before crossing the finish line to claim your well-deserved medal.

Accessibility
The fully signposted route has both grass and gravel terrains and is accessible for both wheelchairs and pushchairs with assistance. However, please be aware that this route does include a steep climb on tarmac surfaces and may not be suited to all.
There will be volunteer marshals along the route to support you if needed.

It was great to take part in the Walk For A Cure event and see so many people coming together determined to make their contribution to finding a cure for dementia. Participants included people living with a dementia, their carers and people, like me, remembering loved ones who had died with dementia. It was inspirational to see so many traveling many miles to raise money to fund such essential research.
- John Hirst, walking in memory of his beloved wife, Pat
- Barry Gray, who is living with dementia
- Jacky Schloss, walking in honour of her parents who have both been impacted by dementia.
- Dr Helen Beaumont, a dementia researcher, walking in memory of her husband, Clive
