We're taking part in Walk For A Cure
We are taking part in Walk For A Cure because we all have family members who are/have been seriously affected by dementia.
My grandpa lived with dementia for the final years of his life and it was awful to watch him deteriorate into a shell of his former self, and even worse when he began to forget who me and my family were. He died very recently which made me all the more keen to do this walk and prevent other families from experiencing the effects of this horrible disease. - Hannah
Our Grandad has had dementia for a couple years now and it is hard to see him find it difficult to keep up with conversations and remember different aspects of conversations. We have seen other relatives also begin to show signs and we hope that by helping this charity have the resources to find a cure we can prevent further suffering. - Amélie and Rosie
Alzheimer's Research UK is the UK's leading dementia research charity, dedicated to finding a cure. We want to support this and help them as much as possible to achieve their goal.
Research is our only chance of stopping dementia in its tracks and offering hope to the many families affected.
Your donation will fuel cutting-edge research that could uncover new life-changing treatments, bringing us closer to a cure.
