I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure
We are taking part in “Walk For a Cure” as our dad was diagnosed 2 years ago, at the age of 65 with Alzheimer’s. Something none of us ever expected to face so soon. Watching someone you love slowly change is heartbreaking.
Dementia doesn’t just affect memory; it affects families, relationships, conversations, and the future you imagined together.
My dad is still here, still himself in so many ways, but there are moments that remind us how cruel this illness can be. Simple things become harder.
Memories fade. And as a family, we are learning to navigate the uncertainty that comes with it every single day.
We’re raising money because we want to help fund research, support families going through the same experience, and hopefully one day have a cure for dementia. No family should feel alone in this journey.
Every donation, no matter how small, means a lot. It’s a way of standing with my dad and with everyone affected by dementia.
Thank you for your support!
