I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure
Kat and I are taking on a huge challenge this September: walking a full marathon distance to raise vital funds for Alzheimer’s UK.
This cause is incredibly close to our hearts. My late father-in-law was diagnosed with vascular dementia, so we know firsthand the devastating impact of this illness. Kat's grandparents were also both diagnosed with dementia; sadly, they lost their wonderful Grandma last March, and her Grandpa now faces the daily, heartbreaking struggles of confusion and fear. Today, we are also watching close friends navigate the painful reality of seeing their own loved ones deteriorate.
We are walking in honor of those still fighting, and in loving memory of the wonderful people who are no longer with us.
Dementia touches so many of us—in fact, 1 in 2 people will be affected by it in their lifetime. It is an exhausting disease, not just for those diagnosed, but for the families who have to watch the people they love gradually slip away. Alzheimer’s UK is working tirelessly to find a cure, and we want to do everything we can to help them get there. We’ve already laced up our walking boots and started our intense 16-week training plan!
If you are able to support us, even with a small donation, we would be profoundly grateful. Every single pound brings us a step closer to a cure. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 🤍

Good luck! X
