I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure

Unbelievably, Matty & I have both lost a parent to Young Onset Dementia. Matty’s dad Kevin passed away in 2019 aged 65 with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) & last month my mum Fiona aged 61 with Alzheimer’s.

Both started with symptoms in their 50’s & had struggled with a number of misdiagnoses - dementia was so unexpected due to their young age. The heartbreak dementia has caused them, us & our families is unimaginable & feels so unfair. We have lost our loved ones slowly, over years.

We wish that no one had to experience dementia & the only thing we feel able to do is to throw ourselves into raising money for research. We’ve chosen to support Alzheimer's Research UK as they cover all types of dementia & a team of us (myself, Matty, Tom & Victoria) are taking part in their ‘Walk for a Cure’ event - a 42km hike in the Peak District this September. If you can spare a few £ to sponsor us & help fund research any one of us may need, we would be forever grateful.

Alzheimer's Research UK is the UK's leading dementia research charity, dedicated to finding a cure.

Research is our only chance of stopping dementia in its tracks and offering hope to the many families affected.

Your donation will fuel cutting-edge research that could uncover new life-changing treatments, bringing us closer to a cure.

Thank you for your support.
