For My Nonna
I have always loved Nonna and thought of her as a brilliant role model for me and my sister.
Since I learnt she was getting sick, I have enjoyed visiting her even more than before and I cherish every second that I am with her.
I asked my mum what we could do to stop Alzheimer, and when she found this event I knew I was ready to walk for as long as it takes. We have been practising and walked double what is necessary.
It felt amazing to do something just me and her, knowing we can make a difference to end the suffering this illness brought to us and so many more people.
I am ready for the 5k and nothing will stop me now.
