My mum was diagnosed with dementia in early 2024 having watched the way dementia changed her personality, appearance, happiness and loving nature it then took her away from us in January 2026 at the age of 74 just a few months the before her birthday. My mum was a bubbly, charismatic and loving lady who always had the biggest smile on her face. Watching her struggle was devastating for her children and loved ones. Finding a cure for dementia is a must as this disease changes lives and destroys peoples whole worlds.Ā
