Route
Enjoy a beautiful circular walk around the grounds of Harewood - recognised as being in the top ten most historic homes in the country. You'll pass through stunning woodland, open fields often filled with deer, and enjoy panoramic views, across the fish pond, of the house itself before crossing the finish line to claim your well-deserved medal.

Accessibility
The fully signposted route is mostly on hardstanding path with some smaller sections on woodland terrain and grass. The route is accessible for both wheelchairs and pushchairs with assistance. However, please be aware that this route does include a moderate to steep climb on tarmac surfaces and may not be suited to all.
There will be volunteer marshals along the route to support you if needed.

Dogs
Dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead at all times.

Facilities
There are event toilets available next to the event village (including accessible loos).
Food and drink will be available to purchase within the event village and you are welcome to bring your own refreshments.

How to get here
Frequent buses run from Leeds and Harrogate to Harewood village. It's then a 15 minute stroll through the grounds to the event village.
If driving, once at Harewood village, continue through the main gate into Harewood Estate. Event marshals will direct you to the parking area adjacent to the event village.

It was great to take part in the Walk For A Cure event and see so many people coming together determined to make their contribution to finding a cure for dementia. Participants included people living with a dementia, their carers and people, like me, remembering loved ones who had died with dementia. It was inspirational to see so many traveling many miles to raise money to fund such essential research.
- John Hirst, walking in memory of his beloved wife, Pat
- Barry Gray, who is living with dementia
- Jacky Schloss, walking in honour of her parents who have both been impacted by dementia.
- Dr Helen Beaumont, a dementia researcher, walking in memory of her husband, Clive
