Walk For A Cure - Worcestershire

I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure

I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure because I want to help end the devastation of dementia.

Personally, I’m taking part in this walk to raise money for dementia after my mum was diagnosed with early onset dementia just over two years ago.

She is an amazing mum, nanny, wife, and friend who means the world to so many people. She loves spending time with family and friends, baking with her granddaughter, exploring historical buildings, and going on lovely walks.

Her diagnosis has shaken our family, and while some days are harder than others, we are trying to make as many memories together as we can. By taking part in this walk, I hope to raise awareness and support for everyone affected by dementia, while helping fund vital research and care for families going through similar experiences.

Any support, no matter how small, would mean so much to us. Thank you.

Alzheimer's Research UK is the UK's leading dementia research charity, dedicated to finding a cure.

Research is our only chance of stopping dementia in its tracks and offering hope to the many families affected.

Your donation will fuel cutting-edge research that could uncover new life-changing treatments, bringing us closer to a cure.

Thank you!

My Updates

Thankful! 🙏

Tuesday 5th May

Over the last few days, our team — five adults and one determined toddler — have been getting out on daily walks to support this cause.

In just a couple of days, we’ve already reached just over half of our fundraising goal, which is amazing. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us so far.

This disease is cruel, and we’re proud to be doing something, however small, to help fight it.

We’ll keep walking and pushing towards our goal — any support, whether a donation or a share, really does make a difference 🧡
