Walk for a Cure - Edinburgh

I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure

I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure because I want to help end the devastation of dementia.

Alzheimer's Research UK is the UK's leading dementia research charity, dedicated to finding a cure.

Research is our only chance of stopping dementia in its tracks and offering hope to the many families affected.

Your donation will fuel cutting-edge research that could uncover new life-changing treatments, bringing us closer to a cure.

Thank you for your support.

My Updates

In loving memory

Tuesday 22nd Apr
My Gran was first diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2022/23 and while we cared for her for almost a year on our own with home carers. May 2024 came around and she needed to ba placed in care home . With rapid decline of her motor skills and memory she fell ill in December 2024 and lost her battle in January 2025 after contracting pneumonia and being unable to eat. She never lost her bright spark in her eyes and the ever loving spirit. Every day without her feels like life is lost at the minute . But I want to make her proud & do this walk in her memory 💕
