I'm taking part in Walk for a Cure in memory of my wonderful dad Ernie, who was taken entirely too young by Early Onset Alzheimer’s.
My dad shaped and inspired me so much, with his love of cryptic crosswords, jazzy jumpers (I get my fashion sense from him!!) and music.
He was a legendary quizmaster - fuelling my thirst for learning about anything and everything, filling my head with amazingly ridiculous stories and enough general knowledge to fill a library.
After many turbulent years dealing with the grief of losing him, I am now in a place where I think he’d be really proud of me and everything I’m achieving.
This walk is held in Roundhay Park, a place that was so special to us and where his ashes were scattered over the waterfall.
All donations welcome, no matter how small and I thank you for your support.
So far, Abi has helped fund 8 hours of essential lab time for our amazing scientists.
