We’re taking part in Walk For A Cure

We’re taking part in Walk For A Cure because I want to help end the devastation of dementia. 

My lovely dad has been living with Alzheimer’s for a few years now and as a family we have seen the impact it has had on him. My dad was a confident, intelligent, gregarious man who loved talking to people wherever he went and had a charm and way that made everyone feel at ease.  

Very quickly the disease robbed him of the ability to engage with others through conversation, and made him more withdrawn. 

He lives everyday with the new challenge’s Alzheimer’s brings, and he does it bravely and with a smile on his face. He loves walking so we want to walk with him, for him and beside him. Every step of the way. Hopefully with a smile on our faces.
