I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure because I want to help end the devastation of dementia.
Alzheimer's Research UK is the UK's leading dementia research charity, dedicated to finding a cure.
Research is our only chance of stopping dementia in its tracks and offering hope to the many families affected.
Your donation will fuel cutting-edge research that could uncover new life-changing treatments, bringing us closer to a cure.
Thank you for your support.

Training Update - The Hill vs. The Calves
Sunday 12th Apr
Weekly walk to Ally Pally completed! The good news? The feet are holding up. The bad news? My calves have officially entered a protest.
It turns out training for 5km with plantar fasciitis is a bit of a balancing act, but I'm pushing through because the cause is so much bigger than some tight muscles.

Every Step Counts (Even the Sore Ones)
Sunday 12th AprThey say that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. They don’t usually mention that for some of us, that first step involves a sharp shot of pain in the heel!
I struggle with plantar fasciitis, and if I’m honest, there have been days where just walking to the kitchen felt like a marathon. But lately, I’ve been thinking about a different kind of struggle—one that doesn't just go away with rest or a new pair of insoles.
Why I’m Walking
Alzheimer’s and dementia don't just take away memories; they take away pieces of the people we love. Research into a cure is the only way we can change the future for millions of families.
The Personal Challenge
I’ll be doing this walk while managing my foot pain. It would be easy to sit this one out and wait for my heels to heal, but the fight against Alzheimer’s doesn't pause.
Working and walking through the discomfort is my small way of showing up for those who face much bigger battles every single day. If they can be brave, I can definitely handle a bit of a sore foot for a few miles!
My Goal: £150
I’ve set a fundraising goal of £150. It’s a modest target, but every pound goes directly toward vital research and support services. Will you help me get there?
Whether it’s £2 or £20, your support means the world to me (and my feet!). It’s the best motivation I could ask for to keep moving forward.
