I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure
We’re taking part in Walk For A Cure in support of my partner’s step-dad, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s a couple of years ago at just 62 years old. It’s been an incredibly difficult journey for him and for all of our family.
He is such a loved husband, dad, grandad and friend. Although Alzheimer’s has changed so much, one thing it hasn’t taken away is his wonderful sense of humour, which still shines through and brings smiles to all of us. His grandchildren absolutely adore him, and we treasure every moment we spend together.
We’re walking to raise money for vital research, with the hope that one day families won’t have to face the heartbreak that Alzheimer’s brings. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help fund research into better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
