As a doctor specializing in Geriatrics and Stroke Medicine, I see firsthand how dementia impacts lives—not just of patients, but of families who fight alongside them. Both stroke survivors and older adults are at an increased risk of this devastating disease, and I have walked their journeys with them, offering care and support. This walk is the bare minimum I can do to honor their struggles, to stand with them, and to push for a future where dementia no longer defines their fate. Every step I take is for my patients, their families, and the countless others who deserve hope and progress
