My Updates

Life with dementia

Wednesday 9th Apr
Recently my mum & grandma both passed within 2 days of each other after battles with dementia.  Surprisingly my mum was very young when MS hit her.  This meant as a family we were never really able to live life to the fullest then along came dementia. Slowly taking away her ability to talk and communicate with us (which was always hard with her MS) so this made things almost impossible for her to tell us her wants and needs. I'll always wonder how and why at such a young age why did dementia choose her, on top of all her other illnesses.. Hopefully we can all raise some awareness to help future partners & grandparents understand and find a cure to reserve the effects of dementia.  Life's to short with dementia so don't take it for granted. THE INVISIBLE CLOCK DOESN'T GIVE YOU WARNING.
