My Updates

Week 3

Wednesday 29th Jul
What a social week!!
It's been so good to catch up with friends & family!!
Also took a bit of time out just for us - to recover from a hangover 😂😂
So instead of one big walk this week, I completed two smaller walks.. 5.6&6km..
Planning to go out and do a 12km next week..walk lengths are starting to ramp up a bit now.. all in getting prepared!
I've been recommended to start listening to podcasts so thankfully Nature has been saved from my terrible singing..I now walk along smiling and laughing away to myself 😂
As always, Thankyou for the support!! Lou xx

Week 2

Wednesday 29th Jul
10km route done!
I am loving finding new paths and routes that I am able to walk and explore! Especially having lived here for over 7years..finding new routes I never knew existed!!
I thought I would find the 10km a little harder but I actually really enjoyed it! Went out nice and early.. it was quite cold and I set myself a target time and exceeded the target time too!
Time to get my steps in for the next walk of 12km! That will be over half of the total distance so I should be able to gauge a rough estimate of how long the walk should take me so I can start to mentally prepare!
If you've got this far, Thankyou for reading..
Any support is so very much appreciated!! I am beyond grateful! Lou xx

Week 1 into Week 2..

Friday 17th Jul
Hi All,
Just a little check in to see how it's going!
I won't lie.. being terrible at getting up in the mornings and working long shifts is playing havoc with my midweek training..but I will NOT miss those big weekend training walks! The ones that really count!
Having never done something like this before, I wasn't really sure what to expect, had in my mind that the training walks would hurt an awful lot more than the first one did.. This spurs me on to do even more!!
Week 1, 8km.. went out early before the heat of the day..
Aimed for 2hours, completed it in 1.5hours.. little pleased with myself for that!
This week is a 10km.. I have the route planned and I have the time planned into the diary! Again, I will be going out early.. will be having a good old sing song to Luke Combs to keep me going along the way (my walking is a hell of a lot better than my singing 😂)
Thankyou all for reading..
I will try and document as much as possible and keep you all in the loop!
Any form of support is so very much appreciated!!
Lots of Love
Lou xx
