In 2022, my family lost someone incredibly special. We lost my nan to dementia.Four years later, the miss her every single day is still just as strong. Dementia gradually took away her memories, but it can never take away the love she gave us or the impact she had on my life. Growing up with her was a gift, and losing her was one of the hardest things my family has ever gone through.I am now 17 years old, and I want to turn my grief into something powerful.That is why I am taking part in a charity walk dedicated entirely to my nan. I want to raise vital funds for the Alzheimer’s Society so they can support other families who are facing this devastating disease right now.
