I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure

I’m doing this for my beautiful mum, who was diagnosed with dementia. She’s my best friend, and I would do anything to take this disease away from her. One of her favourite things has always been walking—if she could, she’d walk to the end of the earth and back—but unfortunately, it’s not that simple for us anymore. I miss our adventures, our late-night walks to the supermarket when it was quiet, and the little trips to buy treats we didn’t need. I miss my companion—the person I could turn to when life felt heavy, when we’d just get up and go. So I’m doing this for her. It may not be the furthest I could go, but it’s a start—the start of trying to help others in need and to make a difference for people like my mum. Out of all the charity fundraising I’ve done, this one means the most, so any contributions would be truly appreciated because this one hits home. With only a couple of weeks to go until the event, I’d really love to give this one final push and try to reach Ā£600—if not even more. Every single penny donated goes towards vital research to help find a cure for people living with dementia, like my mum. If you come across my page, I kindly ask that you consider donating—even Ā£1 would make a huge difference. Please don’t just do it for me, do it for my beautiful mum, who has spent her whole life loving, caring for, and supporting others. Do it in the hope that one day, families like ours won’t have to experience the pain and heartbreak of slowly losing someone who means the world to them. Do it so that together, we can make a difference for future families—so they have a little more time to make memories, to fill their lives with love, and to live without the fear of being forgotten. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has already supported us and donated towards my goal—we will be forever grateful ā¤ļø
