Walk For A Cure - Leeds

I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure

I'm doing this for my beautiful mum who was diagnosed with dementia. My mum is my best friend and I would do anything to take the disease away from her. One of my mums favourite activities is to walk, if she could she would walk to the end of the earth and back again but unfortunately it's not quite that easy for us anymore. I miss mine and my mums adventures, I miss our late night walks to the supermarket so we could go shopping when it was quiet. I miss our little trips to go buy treats that we didn't need. I just miss my little companion, when life and the world just felt heavy we would get up and go. So I'm doing this for her, I know it's not the furthest I could go but it's the start. The start of doing something to try and help all of those in need. The start of trying to make a difference for people like my mum. Out of all the charity fundraising I have done, this will be my most important one so any contributions will be more than appreciated because this one hits home. I'll be keeping my mum in the loop and sharing updates as I go. I can't wait to see where this takes us.
