I’m taking part in walk for a cure in memory of my Grandad Art and in honour of my Nanny Cynth
I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure because I want to help end the devastation of dementia. My family have been affected by dementia in many ways. My Grandad Art sadly passed away in 2019 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. My Nan, who was his primary caregiver has now also been diagnosed with dementia at the age of 82.
Alzheimer’s has affected our lives massively and I am determined to raise as much money as possible to ensure no one else has to endure the devastation of seeing your family member not only forget who you are, but who they are.
Alzheimer's Research UK is the UK's leading dementia research charity, dedicated to finding a cure.
Research is our only chance of stopping dementia in its tracks and offering hope to the many families affected.
Any support or donation of any size is greatly appreciated by me and my family.
On the 5th of June we walk in memory of my Grandad Art and in honour of my Nanny Cynth. We will find a cure.
