I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure
I am participating in this fundraiser walk for my grandad, a man who spent his life building a world for our family, only to find himself slowly losing his place within it. Watching dementia take him has been like watching a book being erased page by page. first the small details faded, then the cherished stories, and now, sometimes even the recognition in his eyes.
I am walking because I want to honor the person he used to be and support the person he is now. Every step is for the memories he can no longer hold onto and for the hope that one day, no other family will have to say goodbye to someone who is still standing right in front of them. Your support means more than words can say—it's a way to fight for a future where we don't lose the people we love twice.
So far, Daisy has helped fund 4 hours of essential lab time for our amazing scientists.
