We're taking part in Walk For A Cure
My sister and I are taking part in the Alzheimer’s Research UK charity walk this September in memory of our mum Barbara. She lived for 12 years with this awful disease before she passed away last summer.
As many of you will know Alzheimer’s doesn’t just affect the person with the disease - it changes the lives of everyone who loves them. Watching someone you love gradually lose their memories, their independence and eventually so much of who they were is incredibly difficult.
We’re doing this walk to help raise money for research, in the hope that one day families won’t have to go through what so many others, including ours, have experienced.
Alzheimer's Research UK are the UK's leading dementia research charity. They exist for a cure.
Your donation helps scientists and researchers find new ways to diagnose dementia, develop new treatments and find a cure for dementia.
So far, The Roberts sisters have helped fund 25 hours of essential lab time for our amazing scientists
