Walk For A Cure - Birmingham

Walk For A Cure - In Honour of Sally Southall

We are taking part in Walk For A Cure to help end the devastation of dementia.

We recently lost Sally Southall at the incredible age of 94. She was a doting wife, dedicated mother and loving Nan / Great-Nan.

Sally was talented, witty and strong willed. She always stood up for what she believed in, inspiring other to do the same. She would always have a story to tell no matter the situation!

She was a strong creative, being a published author and gifted pianist, which inspired a family full of a new generation of musicians.

We take part in this walk to remember Sally and all the amazing things she stood for. Any donations are a plus.

So if you have the capacity to do so, please donate to help fight this truly awful illness.

Thank you!

Nan and Stone Cold Steve Austin

Tuesday 2nd Jun
Nan was one of the nicest people you could ever meet, which meant she had plenty of friends across the globe! I once won a special edition Stone Cold Steve Austin wrestling figure, however the catch was you had to collect it from America. Luckily, my amazing Nan made a few phone calls and a few weeks later, she had my special edition Stone Cold ready for me!

Quote from her son John

RIP mom 15/3/1932 - 22/5/2026 after a long battle with Alzheimers.

You are greatly missed by all of your family but can now be re- united with dad.

Quote from her son Keith

Thursday 28th May
Mom was the sweetest lady you could meet. A talented pianist, author, worked voluntary at the diabetic clinic at the General Hospital, was a member of the Labour Party, a true socialist hen it was real Labour. Suffered many illnesses including breast cancer, which she gave a big kick up the arse! She was also as stubborn as a mule! Goodnight Mom and God Bless.
