Usually when I'm doom scrolling I book crazy holidays, this time I've decided to walk for a cure
I will try to keep this as light hearted as possible because there is too much bad news posted on social media day to day.
My family like so many received the devastating news that a someone we love has been diagnosed with this horrible illness.
My father, was diagnosed with vascular dementia and Alzheimer's 3 years ago which due to the fast progression of the illness has lead him to require full time care. Some days are good and we see the old spirit in him and hopefully on the 18th May this will be one of those days so he will be able to join me on the walk. We aim to be laughing the whole way around but no doubt will be limping, winding each other up and lost in the woods.
Alzheimer's Research UK is the UK's leading dementia research charity, dedicated to finding a cure.
Research is our only chance of stopping dementia in its tracks and offering hope to the many families affected.
I will do my best to keep update with the photographs and videos but I can not make promises that I can not keep as I may be too out of breath to even focus on the camera or I may already be injured in the first mile 😁
