My mom
Monday 26th MayI’m walking for a cure because my mom had Alzheimer’s, we lost her a year ago.
At first it was little changes you noticed, like forgetting the names of people or items; then came the moods and aggression.
Refusing to eat or drink was the hardest.
Every day we lost a little bit more of my mom.
My dad was by Mom’s side through it all, never giving up. We cared for Mom at home, giving Dad as much support as he needed.
Still can’t believe she is gone.
Mom was the life and soul of everything: work, partying and family.
We hope you are doing yourself proud.
