In Loving Memory of Kantaben Bhundia
This year, we are coming together as Team Kantaben to take part in Walk for a Cure. We are walking to honor the life of our beloved mother and grandmother, and to fight back against the disease that took so much from her.
Alzheimer’s is often described as a "long goodbye," but for us, the speed at which it robbed Baa of her spirit was unexplainable. Within just 18 months, we watched an independent, outgoing woman transform into someone who required constant support for the simplest of daily tasks.
Seeing her world shrink as she lost the ability to navigate the life she had built so confidently was devastating. It showed us how Alzheimer’s doesn’t just affect memory, but also strips away a person's everyday joy.
We are walking because no other family should have to watch their loved one disappear while they are still standing right in front of them. We want to turn our grief into action, raising awareness and funds to find a cure for this cruel illness.
