I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure
My father was my soul mate. It wasn’t only that dementia took parts of him away from us years before he died - it was the years we spent trying to reach the person we knew was still somewhere inside. Sometimes we were successful. Sometimes, he’d come out to play for a short while, and we’d see once again his fierce intelligence, his sense of humour, his curiosity. We’re walking because we know that dementia is beatable, because we saw him beat it, even it was only once in a while. But most of all we’re walking because we loved him, and always will.
Thank you for your support.
