We're taking part in Walk For A Cure
I’m taking part in Walk For A Cure with my partner to honour my dad’s memory and to help support the vital research being carried out to find better treatments and, one day, a cure. Any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean a lot and will help contribute towards a future where fewer families have to experience the heartbreak that dementia causes.
Dementia took so much from him before he passed. One of the hardest parts for our family was watching him gradually lose his memories and, eventually, forget many of the people he loved most. As his condition worsened, he had to move into a care home, where he spent his final days.
Seeing someone you love slowly change because of dementia is incredibly difficult, and it’s something no family should have to face.
