I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure because dementia has touched my life in the most personal way. Two of my grandparents lived with Alzheimer's disease, and I saw first-hand how demanding their care was and how exhausting it can be for families.

As a PhD student at Cardiff University, I understand the power of research — it's our only chance of stopping dementia in its tracks and offering hope to the many families affected.
