Hike for a Cure - Cotswolds

I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure

I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure because I want to help end the devastation of dementia.

Alzheimer's Research UK is the UK's leading dementia research charity, dedicated to finding a cure.

Research is our only chance of stopping dementia in its tracks and offering hope to the many families affected.

Your donation will fuel cutting-edge research that could uncover new life-changing treatments, bringing us closer to a cure.

Thank you for your support.

My Updates

Dedicated to our Nans

Friday 25th Jul
Earlier this year we sadly lost both of our Nans in quick succession. Both suffered with dementia in their last few years of life, manifesting in different ways for each but ultimately making it difficult for either of them to fully realise or connect faces, names, and memories, and while it was difficult for us as their family and friends to reconcile with their new reality, we can only imagine how frustrating and hard it must be to suffer such an illness ourselves.

Our solace is that they were well looked after by both professionals and family members, and each passed peacefully surrounded by their children.

In dedication of them both, Nan Rose and Nan Warner, we’d like to help make an impact on the funding and research against this awful disease by taking part in this Septembers Cotswalds Walk.

Any amount you can spare towards this cause is greatly appreciated and goes a long way in the battle against the disease.

Every penny raised is a step closer to a future where Alzheimer's is a thing of the past.
