I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure
I'm walking for my dad, and for every person and family affected by dementia.
Over the past 10+ years, my family and I have lived through the slow and painful heartbreak that this cruel disease brings. Dementia doesn't just steal memories — it slowly takes away the person you love. You lose them long before they’re actually gone, and that kind of grief is hard to put into words.
Taking part in this walk is my way of honouring my dad and standing with the millions of others who are going through the same struggle. I'm in my third trimester of pregnancy, so while it might not seem like a huge challenge for some, it will be a big physical and emotional challenge for me. But every step will be taken with love, hope, and determination to help stop the suffering.
