Walking for a Cure in Sutton

Friday 15th May

On 4th July, we’re taking part in the Alzheimer’s Society walk in Sutton in memory of my dad, David.

He was diagnosed in his 40s with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), a rare form of dementia supported by the Alzheimer’s Society. It came as a shock, and everything that followed still feels hard to put into words.

Sutton has always been a big part of our story. We grew up going to Sutton Park throughout the year, so it’s full of memories with him.

I’ll be walking with my own little family, who my dad sadly never got to meet, so this feels extra special.

We’re raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Society to support research and help move towards a cure.
