I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure
I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure because I want to help them find a cure for this horrible disease! Before my dad got diagnosed with Dementia a few years back I cared for people with this disease and it is absolutely devastating what it does to somebody and their families. Now watching my dad suffer with it makes me want to get involved and bring more awareness even more than before. My dad has been my bestfriend ever since the day I was born, having to live my life with him in a care home is the most gut wrenching thing I’ve ever had to do. Although I know he is well cared for I would love nothing more than to have him home with us and back to his normal self but as we know, Dementia rips all of this from you. You’re essentially forced to grieve your loved one every single day until you eventually lose them to the disease and then you have to grieve all over again. I could go on and on but I won’t, it would really mean the absolute world to me and my family if you could support us. A small donation or even just a share of our page would help massively!
