Hi 👋 I’m Ellie (obviously) and I’m doing this walk in memory and honour of everyone who’s suffered/ suffering with the cruel effects of dementia. Working in healthcare I support many people with dementia and this also comes with supporting their families where possible. It’s heartbreaking to see how dementia affects those who suffer and their families, whilst there can be laughs and smiles often the cruel reality is the loss of self identity, independence and happy memories they once had, for families they now also face the unknown and sadness of not being recognised by their loved ones anymore. I truly believe that with the help and support of people worldwide a cure can be found. Thankyou for all the support ❤️
