I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure because I want to help end the devastation of dementia.

Our mother Ann was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in her 50's. My sister and my dad cared for her at home for as long as they could, untill unfortunately, she needed 24/7 care.

This awful disease has stripped her of her memories. There is nothing worse than your wife, mum, nan and friend no longer knowing who you are.

Alzheimer's Research UK is the UK's leading dementia research charity, dedicated to finding a cure.

Research is our only chance of stopping dementia in its tracks and offering hope to the many families affected.
