I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure
I’m taking part in Walk For A Cure because I want to help reduce the impact of dementia and support the search for better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
Dementia is both personally and professionally close to me. I work in research, and I know how much sustained funding matters. Progress isn’t accidental — it’s built slowly, rigorously, and collaboratively over time.
Alzheimer’s Research UK funds researchers working to understand how these diseases develop and how they can be treated or prevented.
Dementia has affected my family — my grandmother had vascular dementia — and seeing how it unfolded made the need for better treatments feel very real.
This walk is my way of supporting that long-term, careful work.
If you’re able to donate, thank you for helping to fund research that makes real progress possible.
