5K walk for my nana🧡🧡

Hi everyone,

I’ve signed up to take part in a 5K walk in London with Alzheimer’s Research UK.

I’m doing this for my nana aka my best friend who is living with dementia.

Watching my nana live with dementia has been one of the hardest things our family has faced. It’s heartbreaking to see someone who has spent their life caring for others slowly need that same care themselves. The little moments, the memories, the conversations you once took for granted suddenly become so precious.

 Nana has always been such an important part of my life, and no matter how much dementia changes, it can never take away the love, warmth, and impact she has had on all of us. This is for her, and for every family navigating the emotional journey that comes with dementia.

If you have a loved one with dementia, cherish every moment, every smile, and every memory. They are worth more than words can ever express.

May Allah grant shifa, comfort, and ease to those living with dementia, give strength to their families and carers, and reward every act of patience, love, and kindness. 🤍
