My Updates
Walking It Off (Sadly Not How Alzheimer’s Works)
Monday 18th MayHi,
I’ve decided to willingly walk a long distance (for charity, not because I’ve lost my car keys) and I’m taking part in Walk For A Cure – Birmingham, raising money for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
This one’s a bit closer to home than most. My dad was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s a few years ago, so this isn’t just me trying to look like a good person on the internet… it actually means a lot.
The stat that hits is this: unless things change, 1 in 3 people born today will develop dementia, which feels… unacceptably high.
The good news is that research is moving things forward. The more that goes into it, the closer we get to treatments that can genuinely change lives.
So if you can spare a few quid (price of a coffee, pint, or questionable late-night takeaway), I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks a lot – it genuinely means a lot.
