Walk for a Cure Kensington Gardens

I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure

I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure because every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.

Alzheimer's Research UK are the UK's leading dementia research charity. They exist for a cure.

Your donation helps scientists and researchers find new ways to diagnose dementia, develop new treatments and find a cure for dementia.

Every little helps?!

Wednesday 15th May
When I found my dad had a form of dementia it was an incredibly lonely, often difficult place to be. When I joined the cast of Calendar Girls the emphasis was on raising awareness for those with cancer (a truly important cause) however getting to know the cast more it became clear that many of us had also been deeply affected by having loved ones with dementia. I’m a rubbish runner, I’m not great in crowds & I’m not good at asking others for money but I’ve joined this walk to try to do a little something to help other people who have any form of dementia & so I’m asking humbly & sending much love & gratitude to anyone who can make any little donation to support my small effort to help this charity. Love px
