Why I’m Walking for cure?
Saturday 19th AprThis walk means a lot to me. Someone I love deeply, suffered from dementia toward the end of his life. Watching that journey unfold was heartbreaking and eye-opening.
Over the past two years, I’ve faced my own health battles, including serious mobility issues. There were times I couldn’t do basic things, and it made me realise how much we take our bodies and our minds for granted. But I fought back—hard. I put in the work at the gym, day after day, to rebuild my strength and reclaim my health.
Now, I’m walking not just because I can, but because so many others can’t. I’m walking in honour of those living with dementia and the families who walk this tough path beside them.
