I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure
Both my Mamma and Great Grandad suffered from this terrible disease. Sadly, my Great Grandad died just after I was born but I watched my Mamma, who I love with all my heart, become confused and frightened because of dementia. At the time all I could do was be there for her, try to reassure her when she was anxious and confused, and love her. Now I want to help make a difference for others who are suffering.
I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure because every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.
Alzheimer's Research UK are the UK's leading dementia research charity. They exist for a cure.
