Why I am taking part
Hi my name is Lilia. I’m taking part in Walk For A Cure to raise money for Alzheimer’s research to help find a cure for this devastating disease. I previously worked in a residential care home looking after the elderly who suffered with Dementia and Alzheimer’s. Not only do these diseases affect the ones suffering with it, but it affects their family and friends too. Your donations, big or small, can affect the lives of thousands of people with dementia or alzheimer’s, including families and friends of those affected. It is so heartbreaking to watch people suffer and feel helpless, but together we can make a difference!
So far, Lilia has helped fund 1 hours of essential lab time for our amazing scientists.
