I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure
My little boy Finnley and myself will be taking part in Walk For A Cure because every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.
Alzheimer's Research UK are the UK's leading dementia research charity. They exist for a cure.
In December 2023, our world was turned upside down when my beautiful Grandad was suddenly diagnosed with Dementia after series of illnesses in hospital.
It has been an utterly heart breaking journey for my Nan, my children and myself, watching the most beautiful, caring, happy, proud, family orientated gentleman slowly decline in health and memory.
It also now mean my Nan and Grandad will live the rest of their lives separately as Grandad is now in a care home for dementia.
Any hope of cure is worth raising money for to stop this awful disease and to hopefully stop more families being torn apart.
Grandad has given so much joy and childhood memories for his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Hopefully we can make him proud by walking together to raise money for dementia! ❤️
