I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure
My Dad has recently been diagnosed with vascular dementia and shrinking brain which over the last few months has been heart breaking to see the change it has had upon him. Whilst in hospital he was very confused and it was difficult and distressing to leave him each day. Thankfully he is now back at home with my wonderful mum and as he is now receiving medication for dementia which is helping manage the symptoms.
I'm taking part in Walk For A Cure because every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.
Alzheimer's Research UK are the UK's leading dementia research charity. They exist for a cure.
