We're taking part in Walk For A Cure because every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.
Alzheimer's Research UK are the UK's leading dementia research charity. They exist for a cure.
Your donation helps scientists and researchers find new ways to diagnose dementia, develop new treatments and find a cure for dementia. We as a family are doing this walk as awareness of such a cruel and devasting disease. My mum, my kids Gran and my wifes mother in law, is now no longer the person she was. It feels as if she is frozen in the body but we cant seem to communicate as we used to. She dosent look the same, she dosent talk the same and she dosent know us. It feels to me at least as if she is gone but still here, contradictory I know but I hope some will understand what I mean. We just wish she was how she used to be, energetic, a lady, so well dressed, funny and loving. Miss you mum x
