Alzheimer's Research UK is the UK's leading dementia research charity, dedicated to finding a cure.

Research is our only chance of stopping dementia in its tracks and offering hope to the many families affected.

We did it!!!!!!

What a great experience...to be part of something that is one so close to my heart but 2 to do it with my best friend. It was amazing to be amongst a crowd full of people and knowing we are all linked somehow to the emotion of how dementia has changed our lives, changed the way we live and act. 

It was a great turn out and it made me proud that all this money we are raising could help one day to help find a cure 🙏🏾❤️‍🩹

Our reason for doing this walk...

Here we are...my second charity walk and Henna's first one. If it wasn't for Henna asking me to do this I probably wouldn't have, but given the charity choice, the difference the money raised can potentially do and one day it could change lives for the better..so I thought "absolutely..let's do this" 

My mum got diagnosed with early stages of dementia earlier this year, however last month mum got pretty unwell and took us down a different path, having to learn things pretty quick and make decisions which haven't been easy. I'd love if there was a miracle today to cure dementia so those diagnosed with it don't have to suffer and neither do loved ones around them...but unfortunately that probably won't happen anytime soon. However the money that is raised goes towards research to eventually try and get closer to finding a cure or help those with this awful disease (and I pray daily that there will be one, one day)! 

So any donation given is much appreciated as I'd like to believe when our kids are off an age where they would have to care for someone with dementia we are in a better position with being able to help those suffering ❤️
