Walking for Family
We have two members of our small family that are suffering from this horrid affliction. Both mine and my wife's Mothers have Dementia / Alzheimers. My mother has the condition as part of her Parkinson's disease symptoms, my Mother-in-Law has recently been diagnosed (withing the last 18 months) and has rapidly declined since. It is difficult to watch the pain my wife is going through, technically grieving for the person her mother once was, as I'm sure it is for my wife watching me grieve for my Mother. This an awful disease and a cure needs to be found.
We're taking part in Walk For A Cure
We're taking part in Walk For A Cure because every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.
Alzheimer's Research UK are the UK's leading dementia research charity. They exist for a cure.
Your donation helps scientists and researchers find new ways to diagnose dementia, develop new treatments and find a cure for dementia.
